Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade Listed As Questionable For Game 5

The defending NBA champion Miami Heat on the cusp of advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for a third consecutive year after crushing the Chicago Bulls in Game 4 of their second round playoff series.

With the Heat taking a 3-1 lead over of the Bulls while heading back to Miami for Game 5, the Las Vegas odds concerning this series are starting to come to fruition. Only one problem exists heading into Game 5 with Dwyane Wade potentially done for the rest of the series with a knee problem after a collision in Game 4.

Throughout the entire postseason and the tail end of the regular season, Wade has been dealing with a number of injuries that he’s been able to play through for the most part. Although Wade has been able to battle through those injuries, the two-time NBA champion may have to shut it down for Game 5 potentially changing the Las Vegas odds as a result.

As of right now, there’s been no indication on whether or not Wade will play on Wednesday against the Bulls, but it’s safe to say the Heat coaching staff is seriously considering shutting him down until the next round against either the New York Knicks or Indiana Pacers.

If Wade ultimately sits against the Bulls in Game 5, the Heat will almost certainly still be the favorites to come out on top with LeBron simply too much to handle regardless of his supporting cast. Wade sitting out and the Heat still cruising to victory will be a testament to just how good this championship-caliber team and their chances of repeating.

Although Wade’s absence is definitely a plus for the struggling Bulls, there’s little chance of an upset without Wade on the floor.
