NBA Playoffs: San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Lakers Game 4

Game 4: San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Lakers Sun. April 28, 2013 7 p.m. ET

The season is on the line for the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night with Dwight Howard and company going head-to-head against the San Antonio Spurs at the Staples Center in Game 4. The Spurs can pull off the four-game sweep with a win in Los Angeles on Sunday and seem to have a great chance of doing just that.

Coming into Game 4 at Staples Center, the Lakers will be without Kobe Bryant (out for season), Steve Nash, Steve Blake, Jodie Meeks and Metta World Peace. All five of these players have been hobbled by injuries over the last few weeks and will not be able to give it a go on Sunday despite potentially being the last game of the season for the Lakers.

Although the Lakers were thought to be able to give the Spurs a run for their money in this series, the injuries have proven to be too much to overcome in the postseason. Los Angeles has been able to compete with San Antonio at times during this series, but the writing appears to be on the wall with it being only a matter of time before the Lakers fall and start to consider options for the future of the franchise.

As of right now, the Spurs are heavily favored to get the win over the Lakers on Sunday night with an -11 point spread. San Antonio is more than capable of covering this spread after beating the Lakers by 31 points in Game 3.

The Lakers will likely put up a fight against the Spurs in Game 4 with the team desperately wanting to win at least one game, but it seems likely that San Antonio will advance with a fourth win over Los Angeles on Sunday.
