NBA Playoffs: Los Angeles Lakers @ San Antonio Spurs Game 2

The Los Angeles Lakers will head into Game 2 of their first round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night at the AT&T Center as underdogs once again. Tim Duncan and company are the favorites yet again after crushing the red-hot Lakers on Sunday. Although it wasn’t easy for the Spurs to put away the shorthanded Lakers, San Antonio was able to pull off the win while taking a 1-0 series lead.
In Game 2, many anticipate that it will be more of the same from the Spurs as Duncan and company will dominate Mike D’Antoni’s squad for a second straight game in San Antonio.
Despite the fact that the Spurs are clearly the better team in this series, the Lakers are team that shouldn’t be taken lightly moving forward as Dwight Howard and company can still be a force to be reckoned with in the frontcourt. Pau Gasol and Dwight are a dynamic duo in the paint and may have gotten even better with Jordan Hill coming back from surgery in order to be activated on Wednesday night in San Antonio.
With Hill back in the fold and both Dwight and Gasol playing well, the Lakers may be able to give the Spurs a run for their money in the second game of the series.
As of right now, the San Antonio Spurs are heavily favored in Las Vegas odds with a -8 1/2 point spread. San Antonio pulling off another convincing victory over Los Angeles is an intriguing bet heading into this game, but this time around I believe the Lakers will bounce back and at the very least making it much closer.
