NBA Playoffs: Denver Nuggets @ Golden State Warriors Game 4

Game 4: Denver Nuggets @ Golden State Warriors Sun. April 28, 2013 9:30 p.m. ET

Before the NBA playoffs got underway last week, the Denver Nuggets were considered one of the best home teams in the league having lost only three games at the Pepsi Center all season long.

Along with their dominance at home, the Nuggets were a vastly improved team with Ty Lawson and Andre Igoudala leading this team into the postseason as arguably one of the toughest teams to beat in a seven-game series. Denver’s run-and-gun style was starting to payoff with the team coming into their own under head coach George Karl.

Unfortunately for the Nuggets, despite being favored to come out on top in this series with the Warriors in Las Vegas odds, Denver has lost two games in a row to Mark Jackson’s squad.

In Game 2, the Warriors showed that the Nuggets won’t be able to cruise into the second round with Stephen Curry turning it on with a brilliant performance despite suffering a sprained ankle. Curry was able to singlehandedly will his team to victory while shedding some doubt on whether or not Denver can bounce back and compete against a motivated Golden State squad.

With the Warriors winning consecutive games against the Nuggets both in Denver and at the Oracle Arena, Golden State may be able to pull off the series upset by taking a commanding 3-1 lead with a win in Game 4 in the Bay Area.

As of right now, the Nuggets are favored to come out on top in Las Vegas odds with a -1 1/2 point spread. Even though the Warriors have seemingly hit their stride with Curry quickly turning into a superstar in this league as a result, Denver will get the win on Sunday night on the road before heading back to the Pepsi Center for Game 5.
