NBA Betting: New York Knicks @ Oklahoma City Thunder
New York Knicks @ Oklahoma City Thunder Sun. April 7, 2013 1 p.m. ET
The New York Knicks will head into one of the most hostile environments in the NBA at Chesapeake Energy Arena to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in a potential NBA Finals preview.
Coming into this matchup, the Knicks are arguably the hottest team in the league winning 11 straight games. Carmelo Anthony is also on fire as of late scoring 40 more points in the last three games with no team able to find an answer for the superstar’s hot shooting and seemingly unstoppable scoring ability.
Although the Las Vegas oddsmakers weren’t exactly sold on the Knicks’ chances of competing with the best of the best in the Eastern Conference this season, New York has come into it’s own as of late and may be the one team in the conference that can give the defending NBA champion Miami Heat a run for their money in a seven-game series during the NBA playoffs.
Despite constant injury problems with Anthony, Tyson Chandler, Kenyon Martin and Amar’e Stoudemire, the Knicks will likely cruise into the postseason with the second seed in the East and a legitimate shot of going the distance.
As for the Thunder, Kevin Durant and company are also hitting their stride and continue to put pressure on the top seeded San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference. Oklahoma City is coming off an impressive win over the Indiana Pacers and will look to dominant the visiting Knicks on Sunday.
As of right now, the Thunder are heavily favored to come out on top against the Knicks in Oklahoma City. Although Chesapeake Energy Arena is a tough place to play, New York will give the Thunder a run and may be able to come out on top against one of the best teams in the league.
