NBA Betting: Washington Wizards @ Chicago Bulls
Washington Wizards @ Chicago Bulls Weds. April 17, 2011 8 p.m. ET
In the second half of the 2012-13 NBA season, the Washington Wizards have been arguably the biggest surprise team in the league with John Wall quickly turning into a legitimate superstar. Wall has been virtually unstoppable as of late leading the Wizards to some surprisingly solid victories over some of the best teams in the league.
Even though Wall wasn’t able to singlehandedly turn the season around for the Wizards in the second half of the year, the up-and-coming superstar has sparked light at the end of the tunnel for the struggling NBA franchise.
Despite Las Vegas odds likely tilted in favor of the Wizards making the playoffs next season, Washington will be on the outside looking in on the postseason this time around.
On Wednesday night, the Wizards will go head-to-head against the playoff bound Chicago Bulls at the United Center. The Bulls are currently attempting to lock up the fifth seed in the East with a win over the Wizards holding off the Atlanta Hawks.
With Chicago having something to play for on Wednesday, the team may keep their starters on the floor, or at the least a few starters in an attempt to hold off Washington from pulling off the upset in the Windy City.
As of right now, the Bulls are heavily favored to get the win on Wednesday night with a -8 1/2 point spread. Chicago will likely come out with the win on their home floor as they are shooting for the fifth seed, but Washington will make a game of it as long as Wall is on the floor running the show for the Wizards.
Washington might be able to pull off the upset or at the very least make this a closer game than anticipated.
